Garden Follies

Some projects speak for themselves, and this one has a language all its own. Presented with the dual challenge of 1) protecting over-exposed exterior French doors, and 2) creating a garden passageway with only a pair of antique shutters to start, what you see is the imaginative outcome. The copper awning lends a touch of elegant character to this standard façade on the Indianola Spit. Meanwhile, the adjacent garden folly (a structure built primarily for decoration) manifested into a one-of-a-kind portal into the backyard cloister.
